Cyamopsis tetragonoloba(CLUSTER BEANS)  grows upright, reaching a maximum height of up to 2–3 m. It has a main single stem with either basal branching or fine branching along the stem.


ABOUT THE SPECIES

The guar or cluster bean, with the botanical name Cyamopsis tetragonoloba, is an annual legume and the source of guar gum. It is also known as gavar, gawar, or guvar bean.

STEP:1

COLLECTING SEEDS


  The first step is to collect seeds.You can purchase seeds from market or online store.you can collect your own seed from ripened fruit of old plant as well.


STEP:2

PREPARING SPACE

   The next step is to prepare the space for planting CLUSTER BEANS .Select good region in ground.It is advised to select the region with good soil condition and sunlight.

STEP:3

SOWING SEEDS
    Once the soil is ready sow the seeds individually in the ground with a spacing of 45 to 60cm and put soil over the seeds which should be good for germination.Sow the seeds half inches below the soil.

STEP:4

POUR WATER
     
Pour adequate water for the seeds to germinate.Please follow the region not seems to be dried untill the germination.Good seeds germinate within 3 to 5 days of time period






GROWING OF CLUSTER BEAN

You will start noticing the plant is growing well day by day.Its leaves and stems are mostly hairy, depending on the cultivate. Its fine leaves have an elongated oval shape (5 to 10 cm length) and of alternate position.




FLOWERING AND FRUITENING

 Clusters of flowers grow in the plant axil and are white to blueish in color.

                                      


The developing pods are rather flat and slim containing 5 to 12 small oval seeds of 5 mm length. Usually mature seeds are white or gray, but with excess moisture they can turn black and lose germination capacity.

HARVESTING

             You can harvest the beans and prepare a healthy dish in your style.
